WASHINGTON, D.C. - June 8, 2004 -- Beginning in August, Gallaudet University, the leading university for deaf and hard of hearing students, will offer its students around-the-clock live tutoring and academic support online in math, writing, chemistry, physics, biology, statistics, economics, and accounting using SMARTHINKING's online academic support and tutoring services.

Like most college students, Gallaudet students excel when provided anytime, anywhere, live academic support services. However, for deaf and hard-of-hearing students, "online tutoring allows an unprecedented level of convenience and support," says Eileen Matthews, Associate Dean of Academic Programs and Support Services at Gallaudet. At SMARTHINKING, live Math tutors are available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week during the school year. Further, an online writing lab allows students to submit essays for critique and review within 24 hours.
