Julie Radachy holds a M.Ed. in Instructional Technology from American InterContinental University Online as well as a B.A. in Telecommunication Studies and a B.S. in Middle Childhood Education with concentrations in both Social Studies and Language Arts from Youngstown State University.
In the past, Julie worked as an online writing teacher and tutor, helping hundreds of middle-school, high-school, and college students to develop their written communication skills. In addition, she designed three online general education writing courses, assuming personal responsibility for the development of assessments, lesson presentations, and instructional documents to help students better understand how to write effectively.
Now, Julie now serves as an academic coordinator for Smarthinking's online writing program, where she oversees tutor evaluations and tutorial quality, assists the writing directors with new tutor training, and helps develop and enhance writing department materials. In addition, she continues to contribute to the growing e-learning scholarship with co-authored pieces such as Bridging the gap between facilitated and non-facilitated courses and "In the Office:" Communication in virtual environments.
