Ronald M. Mahan

Ron is vice president of Collier Investments, an affiliate of Collier Enterprises. He joined Collier in 1988, serving in various financial, planning and operational roles. Ron played a significant role in the sale of the company's vegetable production business to Monsanto and in the creation of Consolidated Citrus Limited Partnership, the largest citrus production company in the U.S. In addition to his tenure at Collier, Ron served as director of logistics for Gargiulo, Inc., a Monsanto subsidiary, where he was part of the marketing team charged with developing a branded produce strategy; and as a consultant providing services to various clients including Purina Mills and Dole Foods.

Ron is currently Chairman of the Board of Smarthinking, the leading online provider of educational services, a director of MB Management, a business consulting company, and a member of the Regional Advisory Council for the Institute of Food & Agricultural Sciences at the University of Florida. He has also served as a director for Consolidated Citrus and Carnegie Learning, a leading educational technology company. He holds B.S. and M.S. degrees from the University of Florida, and is an alumnus of the Harvard executive education program.
