David Cashwell, Eastern Regional Vice President

David is responsible for managing the SMARTHINKING sales force in the eastern United States.

David has over 10 years of experience working in sales, marketing and business development. Prior to joining SMARTHINKING, David worked as a Regional Manager at MicroStrategy, Inc., a business intelligence software company just outside Washington. He began his career as a high school teacher first in Japan and then at Woodberry Forest School in Virginia. In 2000 he joined the SMARTHINKING sales team where he’s been able to combine his experience in education and business.

David holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in History from the University of North Carolina and a Master of Business Administration from the University of South Carolina. He has lived and worked in both Japan and Italy and has traveled extensively throughout Europe and Asia.
